Invnt & Sculpt Hatton Garden 1760". 1760. Mezzotint. Chaloner Smith 15. 18 5/8 x 13 3/4 (sheet 20 1/8 x 15 1/4). From the artist's first series of Life-sized Heads of twelve independent mezzotint portraits. General slight surface rubbing; a fold in the lower right-hand corner; otherwise good condition. A fine impression printed on antique cream laid paper. Initialed in the plate. The Boydell catalogue of 1783 calls this a portrait of Mrs. Frye, the engraver's wife. $2,750.
