Hands Folded. 1865. Etching. Schneiderman 87.ii/iii. 5 3/8 x 8 5/16 (sheet 6 5/8 x 11 3/4). A rich impression with plate tone printed on cream wove paper. Excellent condition. Like Hands Holding a Crayon (Schneiderman 86), Hands Folded was done for Études à l'eau forte, 1865. There was no separate published edition. Titled, annotated and dated in the plate: Hic terminus haeret. Here is the end.' Hic terminus haeret.' (Here is the end) 'in Lond.' (in London) '1865. $450.
