A rich impression on cream-colored wove paper. Very slight mat burn. Annotated "D[rake] 101" in another hand; signed in pencil by the artist. $850.
According to Schneiderman, page 225, "Erith, on the south bank of the tidal waters of the lower Thames, is approximately twelve miles east of London, opposite Purfleet." Haden etched this extensive landscape and Erith Marshes (see above) in the company of his friend, the famous French painter-etcher, C.F.Daubigny.
