'Hey Ho, The Wind and the Rain'. 1908. Drypoint and etching. Hardie 18. 5 1/4 x 8 7/16 (sheet 7 x 10 1/2). Edition 50. An exceptionally rich impression with drypoint burr and plate tone, printed on cream wove paper with a partial countermark. Signed and dedicated to 'E. F. Strange' in pencil. $350.

Edward Fairbrother Strange (1860-1929) was Assistant Keeper, Victoria and Albert Museum, South Kensington. Council, Japan Society. Author of numerous works on art subjects, of Bell's 'Cathedral' Series.

The barn is located between the villages of Capel and Benchley, Essex.

The title is based upon the song from Shakespeare's King Lear:

When that I was and a little tiny boy,
With hey, ho, the wind and the rain,
A foolish thing was but a toy,
For the rain it raineth every day.
