Printed on Japanese mulberry paper, on the full sheet with deckle edges. Provenance: the artist's estate. Unsigned. Annotated "1st". $150.

The plant belongs to the Solanaceae or deadly nightshade family. This plant was brought to Japan as a medicinal herb in old times. People there believe that the orange color of its berries can provide happiness.
