The authors write, page 142., "A jungle crow (Corvus macrorhynchos) caws from irs place on a snow-covered branch. Like the magpie, the crow is a passerine and gregarious songbird. It is recognisable by its heavy bill, glossy black plumage and rounded wings. The print was issued by Nishinomiya and it could well represent an adaptation of an earlier Daikokuya print."
