Julius John Lankes was a full member of the Society of American Graphic Artists, the American Artists Professional League, the Print Makers' Society of California, the Print Society of England and an Associate of the National Academy of Design. Today his fine woodcuts are included in such collections as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, the Carnegie Institute, Pittsburgh, the Library of Congress, Washington, and the British Museum, London.
