The Timber Mill 1913. Etching and drypoint. Hardie 142. 6 x 9 1/4 (sheet 8 1/8 x 10 15/16). Edition 50, #24. A very rich impression printed on fine laid paper from an antique volume. Signed and numbered in pencil. $1,000.
Hardie writes, "Interior of the timber mill at Overschie, between Rotterdam and Delft. Two men are guiding a long log against the saw blades. Through an open square in the centre are seen a canal and two windmills. (This portion of the plate was bitten in after the rest was completed in dry-point.)
