London Bridge. 1884-5. Etching. Parrish 109. 12 x 18 3/4 (sheet 21 5/8 x 15 7/8). A rich impression with plate tone printed on Japanese vellum. Signed, titled and, dated in the plate; signed in pencil. Parrish records that he sold 44 proofs between 1886-88. The listed price ws $15 each. $1,600.
The artist wrote to his father, "The Thames alone is a treasure house for an artist, and the scene below London Bridge a never ending delight to one fond of water-craft & shipping."
Subsequently the plate was reduced and published in a catalogue of the New York Etching Club.
