Church of St. Mary-le-Strand. 1906. Etching. Wuerth 421. 6 x 3 5/8. The plate has been reduced from 10 x 8. THe original etching includes both the Church of St. Mary-Le-Strand and St. Clement Danes. The plate was cut into sections. The image above actually shows the Church of St. Clement Dane's. Pennell had previously etched that Church in the same year (Wuerth 411). Extremely rare proof and example of Pennell's working technique. $175.
