Whistler with the White Lock. 1879. Etching. Kennedy 172. 4 5/8 x 3 1/16 (sheet 7 3/4 x 6 3/8). A fine impression with plate tone printed on 'S C' countermarked cream laid paper, with wide margins. There was no published edition of this rare self-portrait. Unsigned. $6,750.
