James Mcbey (1883-1959), himself and accomplished etcher, was appointed and Official War Artist in 1917. In 1929 he visited America, returning with his new wife Marguerite Loeb from Philadephia. They set up home in Morocco where apart from the War years in America, he lived till his death in 1959. An impression was exhibited at the RA, 1931, no.1323 Illustrated 'Royal Academy Illustrated' 1931.
