Bourcard-Goodfriend 128 iv/ix. 9 5/16 x 13 5/8 (sheet 11 15/16 x 17 1/4). As published in Revue de l'Art in 1881. A rich impression printed in black in on cream wove paper with full margins and deckle edges on three sides. Signed and dated in the plate. $1,350.

Vase Étain Laqué. (Lacquered tin vase). 1883. Etching with drypoint. Bourcard-Goodfriend 16.iii. 8 1/4 x 5 7/8 (sheet 17 5/8 x 12 1/8). Plate 6 from the portfolio Japonisme: Dix Eaux-Fortes (Japonisme, Ten Etchings). A rich impression with plate tone. Printed on cream laid paper countermarked 'M.B.M.' with full margins. Ex-collection Eugene A. Noble. Unsigned. $400.
The vase belonged to Philippe Burty, 1830-1890, a critic, collector and etcher. Burty was among the early enthusiasts and collectors of Japanese artefacts. It was he who coined the term Japonisme in 1872 and was considered to be one of the key figures in the growing popularity of Japanese culture in France.

A rich impression printed in black in on cream wove paper with full margins. Excellent condition apart from 4 tiny tack holes outside the corner of the plate; professionally repaired. Signed and dated in the plate. With the artist's monogram and owl studio stamp in red. Signed and dedicated 'A Miss Hubbert, Hommage Reconnaissant en de voir. 1897'. $4,500.
