(House with a Turret, rue de la Tixéranderie). 1852. Etching. 9 11/16 × 5 1/8 (irregular sheet 12 3/4 x 7 3/4 - 8) inches. Delteil/Wright 21.ii/V; Schneiderman 24 ii/V. According to Schneiderman, 'There are now random scratches in the sky and on the walls of the house, caused during the printing, but they disappear quickly. With the initials 'C.M.' in the upper right-hand corner." A richly-inked impression printed on greenish laid paper (vergé azué). Numbered 'II.' in pencil, upper right sheet corner and titled 'Tourelle Rue de la Tixéranderi (démolie en 1831.) in the lower margin in Meryon's hand. Provenance: Christie's. A unique proof with annotations by the artist.
